Orchid Exploration in the Forest of Saenam Village as Nuftah Plasma Conservation

This research was conducted with the aim of determining types orchid species in Saenam Protected Forest, North Middle East Regency, Nusa Tenggara Province. The Forest has an area ±10 km2, biodiversity, including orchids. One information regarding inventory Timor Mainland, especially Protection Regency never been reported. It is necessary to carry out this exploratory as a basic data existing biological resources location. carried July-September 2021. Sampling by purposive sampling using plot method measuring 10 x 40 m. distance each m total number plots study plots. results showed that orchids found were 9 genera All belong type epiphytic orchid. dominant are Pholidota globusa, Dendrobium smilliae var. alba, and smilliae. host trees Pine Water Guava
